What is Tarro?
Tarro (tarro.lol) is a Halloween costume idea generator. It reads the music you listen to on Spotify and names the movie or TV character you should dress up as.
How does Tarro pick a Halloween costume from my music?
Tarro runs your top tracks through its own matching algorithm and compares your listening with its library of movie and TV characters.
What do I get from Tarro?
You get two characters: your best match and a wild card. Each one comes with a short description.
How much does Tarro cost?
The first 100 people get their result free. After that, one payment of $2.99 unlocks one result page with both characters. Stripe handles the payment and Tarro never sees your card number.
Is Tarro only for Halloween?
Tarro is built for Halloween costume ideas, but the match works any time of year.
Using Tarro
How long does Tarro take, and do I need an account?
It takes about a minute and you do not create a Tarro account. You sign in to stats.fm, copy your profile link, paste it into Tarro and get your result a few seconds later.
Why does Tarro use stats.fm instead of connecting to Spotify directly?
Tarro needs your top tracks, and it cannot get them from Spotify alone. It relies on stats.fm, a free service you connect to your Spotify account, to read them.
What if Tarro says my stats.fm profile is private or has no listening history?
Set your stats.fm profile to public while you run the match. You can make it private again afterwards. If you have just joined stats.fm, it needs about a minute to import your Spotify history, and a brand-new account may need a few days of listening first.
Can I share my Tarro result?
Yes. Share My Result makes a story-sized image for Instagram, TikTok or Messages, and every result has its own link you can send to friends.
I lost my Tarro result link. Do I have to pay again?
No. Run the match again with the same profile and the same costume choice and you get the same result back at no charge.
Privacy Policy
What does Tarro's privacy policy say about the data it reads?
Tarro reads only the names of your top tracks from stats.fm, once, to compute your result. It never sees your Spotify password, and it never posts, follows or changes anything on your account.
What data does Tarro store, and for how long?
Tarro stores your top track list and your result, plus the Stripe checkout reference and receipt email if you paid. Tarro never sees your card number. All of it is deleted after 90 days, and your result link stops working then.
How do I get my Tarro data deleted?
Email info@tarro.lol with your result link and the result is deleted. Otherwise it is deleted automatically after 90 days.
Refund Policy
What is Tarro's refund policy?
Tarro does not offer refunds. If you paid and your result never unlocked, email info@tarro.lol with your result link and we will fix it.
Terms
What are Tarro's terms of use?
Tarro is a novelty service and results are for entertainment. One payment unlocks one result page. Tarro depends on stats.fm and may stop working if stats.fm changes. Tarro is not affiliated with Spotify or stats.fm.
